Is this Not One of the Most Awkward Things You've Ever Seen?
Boston native and lead singer of Aerosmith Steven Tyler sang "God Bless America" during the 7th inning stretch of last nights Opening Night game. Great idea. But why in the hell was his daughter out there with him? I swear, even though she was hot I thought this was some type of Make-A-Wish Foundation Dream come true shit because it was incredibly awkward. He starts belting away, hitting all the high notes while his daughter just stands there looking around the stadium and staring at the ground. Maybe its just me, but it was painful to watch. Then he starts putting his arm around her and whatnot bringing the creep factor up even higher. She finally brings something to the table for like the last 8 seconds of the song, creaking out "home, sweet home". Touching. Was the 8 seconds of singing worth the 1:30 of standing there looking like an idiot? Not where I come from. To top things off, they embrace at the end of the song, while she goes for the kiss on the cheek, he tries to plant one on her lips, culminating one of the most awkward things I've seen in awhile. Thats your daughter dude, gross.
