Athlete of the Day---Reggie Williams

Reggie Williams was a dominant scorer for VMI. He led the NCAA in scoring twice. I was extremely worried that he would slip through the cracks in the D League and never get a shot. He was averaging like 30 points per game but wasn't getting any love from the NBA. It was getting annoying watching guys like Garrett Temple get called up who was averaging around 14 points 6 assists per game when Reggie was rotting in the D League throwing up 40 point games on the reg. Anyway, deranged coach Don Nelson and his group of crazies known as the Warrior's organization had a moment of sanity when a light bulb went off in their heads. Maybe this Williams guy can play. Well he has played in 5 games with the Warriors and is doing well when he gets minutes. Last night he scored 28 points and had 6 assists and just 1 turnover in 36 minutes of action. Let's see Sundiata Gaines do that. Gaines is so lucky he made that game winner because you can't cut a guy who sticks a fadeaway 3 pointer at the buzzer to beat the Cavs while he's on his 10 day contract. It doesn't matter how terrible he was before that shot and has been since. They're stuck with him. I swear if Reggie gets cut, the Warriors organization needs to be shipped off to Shutter Island.
